I got this in my weekly update email from Mothering.com and felt it so valuable that I wanted to repost it so more may read it. (And when you go to the CR article, read the comments following it, a good dose of common sense!!)

--ConsumerReports.org recently featured a blog entry called “Five Products Not to Buy for Your Baby.” Among those five products are slings and cosleeping devices. The logic is astounding: accidents caused by irresponsible parenting, misuse of devices and, in a few cases, faulty products, have led ConsumerReports.org to urge parents to avoid cosleeping as well as all slings.

Look at that pure jellyfish satisfaction! ;-) I made an ultra deluxe jelly for my good friend's daughter's 1st birthday! It was a hit!

Not Moving, But That's Okay

It turns out it's just going to be too much drama to move. Th expenses and the hassle were overwhelming. So, we need to make a better go of it at the current abode. Step one was reorganizing my office/studio. That's pretty much done and I feel SO SO much better. I will be taking photos soon to share my space with everyone. Step one-b is to get the rest of the house organized/super cleaned. We have not adjusted to having a tornado toddler yet. It seems like no matter how much we clean, she is always right behind us, tossing everything back out again. This too shall pass, right? I have to admit, I'm totally messy too. I'm trying to be better, though, because it is such a stress reliever to have a clean house and to have everything in its place.

A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forums

Actually, the funniness was IN the (etsy) forums. Here, the original post sets it up:

When you click Pets and then Small Animals, Hamster is misspelled. It has never had a P in it. I hope someone can fix this soon since Etsy will get more coverage due to the Good Morning America story about it.

And the replies... for some reason (tiny rich hamsters) these crack me up!

I'm still imagining a family of old money hampsters who vacation in the Hamptons. Wearing tiny pillbox hats with veils and monocles.

In other news, I temporarily misplaced my most favorite crochet hook. I hate when I do that. I was retracing my steps all over the house, trying to find it. I kept picturing in my mind the last few times I used it. I ended up finding it in the bathroom trash! Thank-goodness I discovered it before it was lost for good! (Not too exciting how it got in there- fell out of my pocket while I was giving the baby a bath tonight!)
