Cyber Monday, as the first Monday after the US Thanksgiving holiday has come to be known, is the online version of "Black Friday," the day after Thanksgiving which is one of the busiest shopping days of the year among brick and mortar retail stores. Online retailers have prepared special online sales for Cyber Monday, the ceremonial kickoff to the online holiday shopping season. According to a survey by Shop.org, the association for online retailers, 72.0 million consumers plan to shop online from home or at work on Cyber Monday, up from 60.7 million in 2006 and 59.0 million in 2005.
