Guessing this would be AWESOME!

I favorited this photo awhile back on flickr because it looked like such a GREAT idea! I'm guessing that's cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzerella balls and basil leaves on a stick... First of all, I'm sure you're aware that combination tastes great- but how beautiful to put it on a skewer and serve it as an hors d'oeuvre! I don't know what the dipping sauce is, but if I were making it, I'd do some kind of sweet vinegar type blend.

My dad is a self-made home cooking master chef. He's known to make this in a salad format. I think he uses a home-blended dressing similar to what you describe. You can also lay "patties" of fresh motz on thick slices of tomats and garnish with finely chopped basil. Thanks for making me hungry!
